Cut Shutters were Adriana Valls and Chase Gardner. When Monte Espina started, they were one of our favorite acts in town. When we wanted to start collaborating with other musicians they were our first thought. We are super honored they accepted our invitation.

The four of us got together on November 17, 2016. This session was the first collaboration for both groups.

cortamonte consists of the full first improvisation of the night. thornshutters was composed by Cut Shutters in May 2020, using only material from the second improvisation.
